Ståle Kvitle, Chairman

Mr. Kvitle has 20+ years of experience from Medical Devices within Johnson & Johnson, including leading international roles in sales and marketing for multiple business units, and has extensive experience from product development to commercialization of new technologies. Kvitle hold a Master in Business and Economics from BI, Norwegian School of Business.

Nick-Lie

Nicolas Brun-Lie

Mr. Brun-Lie is a senior lawyer at Ro Somernes Lawfirm, and has 40 + years of experience as corporate and commercial law advisor to Norwegian and international clients, with core expertise in capital management, private equity and finance. Brun-Lie holds a cand.jur (LLM) from the University of Oslo, Norway and has been admitted to the bar since 1985. He is also a board member in several other companies.

Dr. Birgitte Booij

Dr. Booij is  currently Senior Portfolio Manager at CEPI and comes from the position as VP Business Development in SpinChip Diagnostics, where she lead SpinChip’s business development and product strategy activities. She has more than 15 years leadership experience within commercial diagnostics development from Axis-Shield, Diagenic and Clavis Pharma. Booij holds a PhD in biotechnology from the University of Cambridge, UK and a MSc in chemistry from University of Groningen, The Netherlands.

Thorbjørn Overholt

Mr. Overholt holds a master’s degree in political science from the University of Oslo and has extensive management and leadership experience from roles such including CEO of The Research Institute (FAFO),   development director at SAS,  managing partner of Ernst & Young Consulting Norway and group CEO of Faveo. He regularly serves as strategic advisor for smaller and listed companies, across industries in, both  public and private sector .   He has served as board member of both start-ups and larger companies.

Emilie Lasson

Dr. Lasson is currently SVP Projects at North Sea Therapeutics, and has more than 25 years’ experience from the life science industry, including the pharmaceutical and the diagnostic sectors. She has held managerial and executive positions, covering both research and commercial roles, in  Life Technologies (now ThermoFisher), Genetic Analysis AS, Alpharma AS(now Xellia pharmacueticals), as well as Pronova BioPharma/BASF.  She is a board member of the steering committee for The Research Council of Norway’s Life Science Portfolio  and board member for Digital Life Norway.   She holds a Masters degree from NTNU, and PhD in chemistry from the University of Oslo.
